TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE RYBA WOODEN ONLINE STORE
§ 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
These Terms and Conditions define the rules for using the online store rybawooden.pl.
Here you will find information about:
- placing orders,
- payments,
- delivery,
- complaints,
- withdrawal from the contract,
- use of an account and other electronic services.
Every customer using the store should read these Terms and Conditions.
In matters not covered by these Terms and Conditions, the provisions of Polish law shall apply, in particular:
- the Civil Code,
- the Consumer Rights Act,
- the Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means,
- the Act on Out-of-Court Resolution of Consumer Disputes.
§ 2. KEY DEFINITIONS
To ensure these Terms and Conditions are clear, we explain the key definitions below.
Terms and Conditions – this document.
Store – the online store operating at https://rybawooden.pl.

Customer – any person who places an order or has entered into a sales contract.
Consumer – a natural person purchasing a product not directly related to their business or professional activity.
Entrepreneur – a person or company conducting business activity.
Entrepreneur with consumer rights – a sole trader who, in certain cases defined by law, is entitled to some consumer rights.
Product – goods or services available in the store.
Personalized product – a product made according to the customer’s specifications or tailored to their individual needs, e.g. with engraving.
Order – a declaration by the customer expressing the intent to purchase a selected product.
Sales contract – a contract concluded between the customer and the seller upon acceptance of the order.
Account – an individual customer panel in the store.
Electronic services – services provided online by the store, such as a customer account or order form.
§ 3. WHAT WE SELL AND HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER
The store sells products via the Internet.
The products offered in the store are new, compliant with the contract, and legally placed on the market.
Information provided on the store’s website, including descriptions, photos, and prices, constitutes an invitation to enter into a contract. An order placed by the customer constitutes an offer to purchase a product.
Prices are given in Polish złoty (PLN) or euro (EUR) and include VAT. Delivery costs are provided separately during the ordering process.
The price displayed next to a product is binding at the moment the order is placed.
If a product is subject to a promotion, the store also displays the lowest price from the 30 days prior to the discount or – if the product has been on sale for a shorter period – the lowest price since the start of its sale.
Orders can be placed via the website rybawooden.pl 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Creating an account is not required to place an order, unless the store clearly states otherwise.
Placing an order requires reading and accepting these Terms and Conditions.
Orders are processed from Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on business days. Orders placed after 3:00 p.m., on weekends, or on public holidays are processed on the next business day.
Promotional and clearance products are available while supplies last.
§ 4. WHEN IS THE CONTRACT CONCLUDED?
To conclude a sales contract, the customer places an order in the store.
After receiving the order, we send an email confirming its receipt.
In this message, we provide the most important information about the order as well as these Terms and Conditions.
The sales contract is concluded at the moment the customer receives our confirmation of order acceptance via email.
A sales document (invoice or receipt) is issued for each order and may be included with the shipment or sent electronically.
PAYMENT METHODS
§ 5. PAYMENT METHODS
We currently offer the following payment methods:
- prepayment (bank transfer, blik, card)
- deferred payment – if agreed individually in advance.
For personalized products, the option of cash on delivery may be unavailable.
The customer selects the payment method when placing the order.
The available payment methods are listed on the store’s website.
In the case of prepayment, order processing begins after the payment is received or the transaction is confirmed.
In the case of cash on delivery, we may verify the delivery address in advance.
If the customer does not pay for the order within 3 business days from the conclusion of the contract, we may suspend the order processing or cancel the order.
DELIVERIES AND SHIPPING TIME
§ 6. DELIVERY
The delivery cost is provided during the ordering process and depends on the selected delivery and payment method.
The total order fulfillment time consists of:
- order preparation time,
- delivery time by the carrier.
The standard order preparation time is:
- 2–3 business days for standard products,
- 2–7 business days for personalized products available in the store,
- if a product is out of stock, restocking may take from 1 to 4 weeks, unless agreed otherwise.
This period is calculated from:
- the receipt of payment,
- confirmation of electronic payment,
- or acceptance of the order for processing – in the case of cash on delivery.
If a different timeframe is specified on the product page, the timeframe indicated there shall apply.
The customer selects the delivery method when placing the order.
If the customer fails to collect the shipment and the goods are returned to us, we may withdraw from the contract after prior contact with the customer.

ELECTRONIC SERVICES RULES
§ 7. ELECTRONIC SERVICES WE PROVIDE
Through the store, we enable:
- placing orders,
- creating and maintaining a customer account.
These services are provided free of charge.
We may also publish advertising, promotional, and informational content in the store.
§ 8. RULES FOR USING THE STORE
To use the store, you need:
- a device with Internet access,
- an active email address,
- an up-to-date web browser,
- enabled cookies and JavaScript.
The customer should use the store in accordance with the law and good practice.
The customer should provide true and accurate information.
It is not allowed to provide unlawful content.
The order service is a one-time service and ends when the order is placed or cancelled.
The account service is continuous and lasts until the account is deleted or the service is terminated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
§ 9. COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE STORE OPERATION
If a complaint concerns the operation of the store or electronic services, it can be submitted to:
The complaint should include a description of the problem, the date it occurred, and contact details.
We will review complaints no later than within 14 days of receiving them.
We will send the response by email or in another way indicated by the person submitting the complaint.
§10. ACCOUNT AND TERMINATION OF ELECTRONIC SERVICES
The customer may cancel their account at any time by:
- sending an email,
- or deleting the account, if such an option is available.
We may terminate the account service if the customer violates these Terms and Conditions, in particular by providing unlawful content.
In such a case, we may first ask the customer to stop the violation.
If the violations continue, we may terminate the service with 7 days’ notice.
§ 11. FINAL PROVISIONS
Contracts concluded through the store are governed by Polish law.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or contrary to law, it does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
We aim to resolve disputes amicably in the first instance.
A consumer may also use out-of-court dispute resolution methods, in particular:
- mediation,
- arbitration,
- assistance of a consumer ombudsman,
- the ODR platform.
Disputes with consumers are resolved by the court having jurisdiction in accordance with applicable law.
Disputes with entrepreneurs are resolved by the court having jurisdiction over the Seller’s registered office.
COMPLAINTS
§ 13. COMPLAINTS
The Seller is liable to the consumer and to an entrepreneur with consumer rights for any lack of conformity of the product with the contract, in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
In the case of entrepreneurs, the Seller’s liability is governed by the relevant provisions of the Civil Code.
The product should be used in accordance with its intended purpose and instructions. Damage resulting from improper use is not subject to complaints.
A complaint may be submitted:

The complaint should include:
- order number,
- description of the problem,
- date when the problem was noticed,
- contact details.
If the product is required to process the complaint, the customer should make it available to the Seller.
We will respond to the complaint no later than within 14 days from its receipt.
If a complaint submitted by a consumer or an entrepreneur with consumer rights is not addressed within this period, it is deemed accepted.
In the first instance, the customer may request:
- repair of the product, or
- replacement of the product.
A price reduction or withdrawal from the contract is possible in cases provided for by law.
If the complaint is accepted, we will cover the costs related to its processing, in accordance with applicable regulations.
What we consider a product defect:
- manufacturing defects – e.g. insufficiently sanded surface,
- cracks in the wood arising during the production process,
- incorrect dimensions outside the acceptable tolerance,
- non-compliance of the product with the order specification.
Complaints do not cover:
- natural variations in color and wood grain,
- dimensional tolerancies: width: +/- 2,5%; lenght: +/- 1%; thickness: +/-1 mm
- damage caused by dishwashing or prolonged contact with water,
- mechanical damage and damage resulting from improper storage,
- dimensional changes within acceptable tolerance,
- discoloration resulting from contact of wood (especially oak) with raw metal (e.g. salad spinners, grinder blades),
- the natural tendency of wooden products to warp,
- damage resulting from improper use (user instructions available at: USER INSTRUCTIONS,
- changes resulting from natural aging processes of wood or normal use (e.g. knife marks, stains from beetroot, strawberries, or other staining substances).
WITHDRAWAL
§ 14. WITHDRAWAL FROM THE CONTRACT
A consumer and an entrepreneur with consumer rights may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without providing any reason.
To do so, it is sufficient to send us a clear statement, for example:
- by email,
- by post,
- via the return form available on the store’s website.
Upon receiving the notification, we will confirm its receipt.
After withdrawal from the contract, it is considered null and void.
The product should be returned without undue delay, no later than within 14 days from the date of withdrawal, to the following address:

To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send the product before the expiry of the 14-day period.
The customer bears the direct cost of returning the product.
The customer is liable for any reduction in the value of the product resulting from use beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the product.
We will refund payments without undue delay, no later than within 14 days from the date of receiving the withdrawal statement. However, we may withhold the refund until we receive the product or proof of its return.
We will refund:
- the price of the product,
- the cost of the cheapest standard delivery option available in the store.
The refund will be made using the same payment method used by the customer, unless the customer agrees to a different method.
When does the right of withdrawal not apply?
The right of withdrawal does not apply in particular to:
- products made to individual order,
- personalized products,
- products delivered in sealed packaging which cannot be returned after opening for hygiene or health protection reasons.
The 14-day withdrawal period is calculated:
- from the day the product is received,
- in the case of orders delivered in parts – from the receipt of the last item,
- in the case of regular deliveries – from the receipt of the first product.
WITHDRAWAL FORM
BUSINESS CUSTOMERS
§ 15. IF YOU BUY AS A BUSINESS
This section is for business customers who do not have consumer rights.
We may limit payment methods, for example we may require payment in advance.
The business customer should check the package when receiving it. If there is any damage or missing items, they should report it immediately to the carrier and prepare a damage report. Without this report, complaints about transport damage will not be accepted.
We may cancel the contract with a business customer within 14 business days from the date it was made.
§ 16. ENTREPRENEUR WITH CONSUMER RIGHTS
A person running a sole proprietorship may have some consumer rights if the purchase:
- is related to their business,
- but is not part of their professional activity.
In such a case, the person may in particular benefit from protection regarding:
- unfair contract terms,
- complaints,
- withdrawal from a distance contract.
These rights do not apply if the purchase is of a professional nature.
Examples:
A purchase is not professional in nature (consumer rights apply), for example when:
- an office buys a cutting board for a staff kitchen,
- a company buys a product as a gift for an employee or client,
- a company uses the product for decorative or marketing purposes.
A purchase is professional in nature (consumer rights do not apply), for example when:
- a restaurant buys cutting boards for food preparation,
- a catering company buys cutting boards for its business operations,
- a shop buys products for resale.
§ 17. Customised production
Quantity tolerances
In the case of custom production based on the client’s design, a quantity tolerance of ±5% is allowed. This means that the final quantity may slightly differ, and the client accepts both surplus and shortage.
COPYRIGHTING
§ 18. COPYRIGHT
All content in the store, including photos, descriptions, graphics, and materials, is protected by copyright.
It may not be copied, distributed, or used without our prior consent, unless the law provides otherwise.
Trade names, logos, trademarks, and product names belong to their respective owners and are used for informational or identification purposes only.
